Sharon Guynup is a journalist, author and photographer who writes and speaks on environmental issues. Sharon has produced feature stories, commentary and multimedia pieces for publications including National Geographic, The New York Times, The Washington Post, Smithsonian, BBC Wildlife and other outlets. Her work has earned awards from the New York Press Club, the Society of Professional Journalists, and the American Society of Journalists and Authors. She was a consulting producer on the National Geographic Channel show TRAFFICKED. She co-authored the book “Tigers Forever: Saving the World’s Most Endangered Big Cat” with photographer Steve Winter and contributed essays to “Photographers Against Wildlife Crime.” She is a global fellow at the Wilson Center and a National Geographic Explorer.
