Boogs Rosales is a photographer and filmmaker based in the Philippines. Boogs specializes in filming marine wildlife for natural history and travel programs, with a strong focus on conservation and education. His work has been featured on global networks such as National Geographic Channel and the Discovery Channel, and also in numerous print and online publications. Notably, he produced and directed the documentary 'Dahican’, which earned a finalist spot in the People & Nature - Short Form Category at the prestigious 2023 Jackson Wild Media Awards.
A scuba diver for 15 years, he has extensive experience diving and filming in diverse environments, ranging from the warm waters of the Coral Triangle in Southeast Asia to the Mexican subtropics in the Eastern Pacific. As part of his advocacy, Boogs leads expertly guided diving expeditions to places with rare and unique marine life, where he can share his experience with others while emphasizing the importance of preserving these fragile ecosystems.
In line with his mission, Boogs has worked with environmental organizations such as Greenpeace and Conservation International in support of their marine conservation campaigns. For his contributions to his community, he was named a Global Shaper by the World Economic Forum in 2013.
