Bing Lin

Bing is a conservation photographer and scientist currently pursuing his PhD in Science, Technology, and Environmental Policy at the Princeton School of Public and International Affairs. His research lies at the nexus of conservation ecology, public policy, and applied behavioral science, with a focus on the socio-ecological dimensions of coral reef ecosystems and their conservation. Bing's visual storytelling seeks to underscore humanity's (at-times fractured) relationship with nature; all that has been lost and all the more we stand to lose.

Bing was born and raised in the mountains of Bandung, Indonesia, and spent his summers amidst the hustle and bustle of Taipei City, Taiwan. He holds degrees in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology (A.B.) and in Public Affairs (M.A.), both from Princeton University. His photography and writing span both terrestrial and underwater environments and have been featured in National Geographic, Scientific American, BBC Wildlife, and elsewhere.
