Katherine Jack

Katherine Jack is a British photographer working on the islands of Palawan, Philippines.

Her photography focuses on human relationships with the ocean. Her long-term project, Palawan Seas, documents a way of life intricately connected to the sea. It is a visual narrative of a place and people on the verge of what may be irreversible change, but also a record of efforts to ensure a better future for the planet.

Katherine’s work has been published by magazines and newspapers such as The New York Times; The Telegraph; Lifo; Roads & Kingdoms; and, The Australian. Her photographs have been exhibited at venues in the Philippines and the UK and she has contributed to a number of books.

Katherine has worked as a photographer on marine conservation projects with the World Wildlife Fund and Tubbataha Reefs, a UNESCO Marine World Heritage Site. She is currently collaborating with scientists from Philippine Coral Bleaching Watch to document how climate change is affecting coral reefs in Palawan.
