Rob G. Green

Rob G. Green is a documentary photographer and videographer based in Montana. While his work has taken him to Central and South America, the Caribbean, and northern Africa, he feels most drawn to the environmental issues unfolding in the American West. He focuses on the connections and conflicts between people and place, with a specific attention to grizzly bear habitat and watershed restoration initiatives.

He began his career as a conservationist after receiving a BA in Journalism, English, and Philosophy at Augustana University. Following graduation, he worked as a backcountry guide in Guatemala, Costa Rica, and Ecuador for five seasons, seeing firsthand how one area’s ecological and cultural challenges ripple out to many others. These experiences led Rob to hone his understanding and approach to storytelling at the University of Montana, where he earned advanced degrees in Environmental Studies and Natural Resource Conflict Resolution. 

Equipped with years of field experience and a network of conservation change agents, Rob’s work seeks to highlight the solutions that have the potential to change the way we engage with the natural world. 

He currently lives in Missoula with his wife, Robyn.
